A deer caused extensive damage to a vehicle early Saturday morning. No injuries were reported in a car versus deer accident in Union County.
According to a Union County Sheriff’s Office report, at approximately 7:23 a.m. a 2023 KIA Sportage, driven by Jesse G. Maher, 33, of Osceola, was eastbound on Highway 34 when a deer entered the roadway from the south ditch. Maher was unable to avoid the collision with the animal.
Damage to the KIA was estimated at $5,000.
