Approximately 200 runners from Schuylkill County participated in the annual Spooky Schuylkill 5K on the Schuylkill River Trail.
The event, now in its 13th year, is a fundraiser for Schuylkill Connects, a nonprofit service provider that aims to improve community relations and development.
Runners of all ages and skill levels competed on a 3.1-mile section of the trail, with some wearing unconventional Halloween costumes.
Some ran the 5K wearing unconventional costumes that restricted their movement.
The event took place on a crisp Saturday morning in the woods near Landingville’s Faith Reformed UCC.
