New Funding for Victorian Solar for Apartments Program
Round 3 of the Victorian Solar for Apartments Program is now open for applications, with $32 million in funding available.
The program, a joint initiative between the Australian and Victorian governments, provides funding to support the installation of shared rooftop solar systems on eligible apartment buildings and other multi-unit dwellings in Victoria.

Many apartment residents face barriers to installing rooftop solar, but the program has already helped over 3,200 families living in apartments, units, and townhouses since its launch in February 2024.
Notably, around half of the beneficiaries were renters, who can now enjoy the benefits of cheap solar and lower energy bills, with estimated energy bill savings of up to $500 per year per apartment.
