The Carlton Crusaders secured a spot in the North Saskatchewan Football League final with a 39-0 shutout win over the North Battleford Vikings at Max Clunie Field.
The victory sets up an all-Prince Albert matchup for the NSFL Final, as the St. Mary Marauders upset the Martensville Royals 35-18.
“(I’m) excited for these guys,” said Crusaders coach Lindsay Strachan. “At the start of the year you hope to put yourself in a position to go win the league and we punched our ticket today.”
The game was a physical contest that the Crusaders were well-prepared for, according to Strachan.
