Area residents shared their thoughts and fears with the Vermont School Redistricting Task Force as it prepares a map to recommend to the Legislature.
Rich Werner of Dover, chairman of the River Valleys Unified Union School District, noted that Vermont is "a unique place" and that the task force has a challenging job ahead.
"You guys don't have an easy job,"
he told the task force, citing transportation in rural and hilly areas as a major issue to consider.
Meanwhile, parents from Dover, Landgrove, and Londonderry expressed their desire to continue sending their children to Burr & Burton Academy in Manchester.
In other news, high school students from around Windham County participated in the second annual Reality Fair at Leland & Gray Union Middle High School in Townshend, hosted by the BDCC.
