Manchester City have joined Tottenham Hotspur in pursuit of River Plate's Lautaro Rivero, with both clubs intending to start negotiations.
According to reports, River Plate are referring to Rivero's €100m release clause. Spanish journalist Pascual Ruiz Arnal previously reported that Spurs and Atlético Madrid were showing interest in the 21-year-old.
Clubs are closely monitoring the centre-back's situation and intend to start negotiations with River Plate in January.
Rivero spent 18 months on loan at Central Córdoba and returned to his parent club last summer.
