Organizers expect a large turnout for the No Kings/No Dictators protest in Hilo, with registration already surpassing the June 14 protest, which drew over 1,500 participants.
The protest, led by Indivisible Hawai’i Statewide Network, will feature marches, rallies, and community events across the US, including several communities on the Big Island.
Supporters say President Donald Trump is violating rights outlined in the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution.
The statewide protest has been branded "No Dictators" out of respect for Hawaiʻi's history of aliʻi (chiefs and kings).
