A House Divided: The Anglican Communion's Great Reset
The Global Fellowship of Confessing Anglicans (GAFCON) has announced a significant schism in Western Christianity, cutting ties with the Anglican Communion and the Archbishop of Canterbury.
This move is a result of GAFCON's belief that the Anglican Communion has rejected biblical authority, leading them to declare themselves as the true Anglican Communion.
GAFCON previously described itself as "a global movement, gathering authentic Anglicans, guarding God's gospel, growing orthodox leaders, and generating missional resources, for the glory of God."
This fracture is one of the largest in Western Christianity since the Protestant Reformation launched by Martin Luther.
