Double-Presentation Highlights Connection Between Student Improvement and Grant Support

The relationship between student achievement improvement and federal funding for staff positions and support programs was the main focus of two presentations at a school meeting on Tuesday.

Melissa Senecal, Director for Curriculum Instruction and Assessment at Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union (SVSU), presented a "report card" on the SVSU 2024-2027 Continuous Improvement Plan to the Southwest Vermont Union Elementary School District Board.

Renee Gordon, SVSU Director of Finance, also presented an overview of the federal grants received by the district.

The ties between improvement in student achievement and federal money used to help fund staff positions and programs to support it provided the overall focus of two presentations.
