Army Corps Criticized for Inaction on Flood Prevention
Rep. Clay Higgins expressed frustration with the Army Corps of Engineers for not utilizing the $50 million allocated for dredging the Vermilion River, a project aimed at mitigating flooding in Lafayette.
The Corps of Engineers no longer serves our republic.
Higgins' criticism stems from the fact that despite securing $50 million for the project in 2021, none of the funds have been spent on dredging to date.
