Pro-Hamas Messages Disrupt Airports in Kelowna and Victoria
On Tuesday, October 14, a cyber security incident occurred at Kelowna International Airport (YLW) and Victoria International Airport (YYJ), causing flight delays.
The incident started around 5 p.m., with pro-Hamas messages being displayed on screens and broadcast through the public address systems.

According to the Kelowna Airport, the unauthorized messaging was removed, and flight information display screens were restored by 7 p.m.
The City of Kelowna stated that the incident was limited to a cloud-based third-party software provider.
