Former CDC officials have stated that guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has become less trustworthy due to layoffs, leadership changes, and politics.
At the STAT Summit Boston, former CDC Director Rochelle Walensky and Dan Jernigan, former director of the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, expressed concerns over the trustworthiness of CDC information.
