WEM Grad Refreshes Mr. Monopoly Character
Cedric Hohnstadt, a 1991 WEM graduate, has been a professional illustrator for over 30 years. He was hired to update the Mr. Monopoly character, which is being used on the McDonald's giveaway and the new Monopoly game.
Hohnstadt has done extensive work for Hasbro, including illustrating packaging for Mr. Potato Head, Pound Puppies, and Baby Alive. He has also created playset stickers for My Little Pony and sketched toy concepts for brands like Play Doh, Sesame Street, Angry Birds, and Star Wars.
His work on the updated Mr. Monopoly character is a notable achievement, as he was hired a couple of years ago to illustrate this iconic figure for the newest version of the Monopoly board game.
