Why I Still Love Newspapers
I am a week late to this discussion, having recently reflected on my experiences in Iraq 20 years ago with the 48th Brigade Combat Team.
Last week marked National Newspaper Week, a celebration close to my heart. As a columnist, I have the privilege of sharing my thoughts with readers, courtesy of the editors, and receiving feedback in return.
Over nearly three decades, I have formed meaningful connections with regular readers, despite never having met them in person. You, the readers, have been with me through both good and challenging times, offering constructive criticism when needed.
I have the best job in the world.
