Rescue Deal Saves Over 400 Jobs at Roberts Bakery
A pre-pack deal with Boparan Private Office has saved 433 jobs at Roberts Bakery, a Cheshire-based bakery manufacturer.
The private investment firm, owned by entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan, has created a new company, Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd, in a deal made for an undisclosed fee.
The new company is a reference to the year the business was founded.
The deal comes after Frank Roberts & Son Ltd, the fourth-generation family business, filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators just over a week ago.
