Relocation of North Longford Bottle Banks Proposed
A proposal to relocate the bottle banks at Purth church in North Longford has been submitted by Councillor Garry Murtagh.
The Fine Gael Cllr raised the issue at the September meeting of Granard Municipal District, suggesting that the new car park in Derrycasin woods/Mullinalaghta could accommodate the relocated bottle banks.
Every area should have a bottle bank in their community to promote recycling.
The motion was seconded by Independent Cllr Turlough McGovern, who described it as a "very good motion".
