A fishing guide, Caleb Bell, has caught a state-record bass in Tennessee, which has been certified by officials.
The bass, an Alabama bass, weighed 7 pounds 3 ounces, surpassing the previous record by 3 ounces.
“Unfortunately, Alabama Bass are an invasive species that was introduced illegally in Tennessee,”
according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
