Colorado Springs Honors Charlie Kirk
The Colorado Springs City Council has approved a resolution honoring the U.S. Senate's designation of October 14, 2025, as the National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk.
Charlie Kirk is a conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA.
His assassination was compared to that of President John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. by Councilor Brandy Williams.

The resolution was introduced by Councilor Brandy Williams and passed with the support of Councilors Lynette Crow-Iverson, David Leinweber, Brian Risley, and Tom Bailey.
