SWISS Unveils Its First Airbus A350 in Zurich

SWISS, the national carrier of Switzerland, presented its first Airbus A350-900 at Zurich Airport on October 14, 2025.

The event was attended by Airways at SWISS's maintenance facilities, where Stan Wawrinka served as the 'godparent' for the naming of the aircraft.

The Lufthansa group initially ordered five Airbus A350-900s for SWISS in 2019, and in December 2024, the airline doubled its order for the A350-900.

The first A350-900, HB-IFA, was welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute on November 9 and is now officially part of the SWISS fleet.

SWISS's first next-gen aircraft was showcased at the event.
