Polaris Industries Sells Indian Motorcycle
Indian Motorcycle announced that the company will retain the majority of its team after being sold.
Polaris Industries announced the sale of Indian Motorcycles to California-based Carolwood LP, a private equity firm, on Monday.
Polaris is confident in Indian Motorcycle’s future success under Carolwood ownership and will maintain a small equity position in the business after the transaction closes.
- The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2026.
- About 900 employees will transition as part of the new Indian Motorcycle Company at its manufacturing facilities in Spirit Lake and Monticello, Minnesota, and a design and technology center in Switzerland.
