Fiona Johnston To Depart Dentsu

Fiona Johnston to Depart Dentsu

Fiona Johnston will depart Dentsu at the end of this week, after nearly three years with the business.

Currently CEO – client and commercial, Johnston joined from IPG Mediabrands. Her departure follows Kirsty Muddle’s announcement to join Ogilvy, with B&T understanding the two are unconnected.

Johnston’s departure is also unrelated to the rumoured sale of Dentsu’s international business. Dentsu is removing her current role to bring greater simplicity to its business, including a flatter leadership structure.

The company is realigning its model to support its strategic capabilities and Media ++ strategy.

No comment was provided by Dentsu on the rumoured sale of its international business.

Author's summary: Fiona Johnston departs Dentsu after three years.
