A resident of Block 802 Yishun Ring Road has expressed concern over the use of a ninth-floor corridor as a storage area, citing fire hazards and unsafe practices.
“Apparently, these neighbours have been cluttering our corridors for many years. The corridor has been used as a storage space for bulky items, furniture (including some junk) and most critically, at least one personal mobility device (PMD) is being parked and charged in the common area,”
The resident described the situation as "a direct threat to life and property". A town council spokesman has urged residents to declutter the corridor.
The issue has been raised with Stomp, Nee Soon Town Council, and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
