Tasracing has terminated the employment of Tasmania’s chief thoroughbred steward due to "conduct-related matters" following an investigation.
The steward was stood down on September 21, just days after starting in the role on September 15.
The conduct was described as "disappointing" by Carroll's office, but they were "satisfied with the manner in which Tasracing has managed the situation since becoming aware of the allegations".
Carroll used the incident to reinforce his expectations for the industry.
