Ford Australia has recalled 24,476 Ford Mustangs due to a potential fault with the reversing camera.
The fault could cause the reversing camera to not display the rear-view image as intended, according to the recall notice.
If the rear-view camera does not operate as intended while reversing the vehicle, it could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to persons located behind the vehicle.
The affected vehicles are 2015 to 2018 models, but may have been sold at a later date.
Ford advises that the indicator warning lamp will illuminate in the instrument cluster if the rear-view camera is unavailable.
