Print circulation figures will no longer be audited.
One of the UK's leading regional publishers, National World, has withdrawn all its titles from ABC, meaning over 200 local and regional titles are no longer registered with the print circulation auditor.
National World, under new ownership since May, has not responded to requests to explain the reasons for the move. However, ABC confirmed to HTFP that the company's titles are no longer registered.
In the most recent ABC figures, National World titles performed relatively well compared to industry rivals. Four titles - the Express & Star, the Yorkshire Post, the Shropshire Star, and The Scotsman - appeared in the top 10 regional titles by circulation.
