Complaints about Kerry Gardaí
Over 400 complaints have been made about gardaí in Kerry in the last five years, according to figures from the garda watchdog, Fiosrú.
Figures provided to the Minister for Justice, Jim O’Callaghan, show that complaints about Kerry gardaí varied by year: 119 in 2020, 79 in 2021, 102 in 2022, 80 in 2023, and 58 in 2024.
Excluding the Dublin Metropolitan Region, Kerry had one of the lower complaint rates, with only four other divisions (Kilkenny/Carlow, Laois/Offaly, Sligo/Leitrim, and Waterford) having fewer complaints across the five years.
