Electronic Arts and Capital Games have announced plans for the 10th anniversary of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, a landmark event for the popular collectible turn-based strategy game. The developers, in partnership with Lucasfilm Games, revealed new content scheduled for release in November.
Launched in 2015, Galaxy of Heroes has become a staple in Star Wars mobile gaming, consistently ranking high on app charts and surpassing 100 million downloads across the App Store, Google Play, and the EA App.
The update aims to refresh the gameplay experience for both returning and new players by introducing new modes, characters, and accessibility enhancements.
A highlight of the anniversary celebration is the new Coliseum mode, described by the studio as a large-scale arena focused on spectacle and intense combat.
Inspired by in-universe Star Wars entertainment and classic arena-style storytelling from film and TV, the new mode is set on Batuu — the same planet featured in Disney Parks' Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Players will face formidable enemies, including a Pirate AT-ST, a Jotaz, a Tomb Guardian, and a Dryax.
This 10-year celebration update revitalizes Galaxy of Heroes with fresh gameplay elements, reinforcing its status as a major mobile Star Wars title.
