Vancouver Canucks terminating winger Vitali Kravtsov’s contract

Vancouver Canucks Terminate Vitali Kravtsov's Contract

The Vancouver Canucks have ended their association with winger Vitali Kravtsov. General manager Patrik Allvin announced on Tuesday that Kravtsov, 25, was placed on unconditional waivers to facilitate contract termination.

Kravtsov joined Vancouver’s training camp in Penticton, B.C., before being assigned to the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks. In 10 games there, he recorded one goal and three assists.

The Canucks acquired Kravtsov from the New York Rangers in February 2023. However, he spent most of the past two seasons playing for Traktor Chelyabinsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).

"The team has placed the 25-year-old Russian winger on unconditional waivers for the purpose of contract termination."

This report by The Canadian Press was first published in November.

Summary: Vitali Kravtsov's contract with the Vancouver Canucks was terminated after limited impact in the AHL, despite strong KHL performance.
