Harvard has demonstrated dominance by winning all seven games this season by at least three touchdowns. Their impressive performance in the Ivy League earned them the No. 9 spot in the latest Stats Perform FCS Top 25 rankings — the highest ranking in the program's history.
In addition to the Stats Perform poll, Harvard was ranked 13th in the AFCA FCS Coaches’ Poll, marking their best position in that poll since at least 2011. The Crimson’s rise in both rankings followed a decisive 31-10 victory over Dartmouth on Saturday, pushing their record to 7-0.
Harvard remains the only undefeated team in the Ivy League. Their rivals Yale and Penn each hold a 5-2 record. Harvard is yet to face these contenders; Penn is scheduled to visit on November 15, prior to the historic 141st edition of "The Game" in New Haven later that month.
This ranking holds added importance as Ivy League teams become eligible for the FCS playoffs for the first time. Harvard will aim to extend their winning streak to eight games in an upcoming away match against Columbia on Friday night.
"Harvard football’s dominant run in the Ivy League was rewarded on Monday with the No. 9 spot in the latest Stats Perform FCS Top 25 rankings, the highest in program history."
"The Crimson are the only unbeaten team left in the Ivy, with archrival Yale and Penn both 5-2."
