Remembrance Day Parades 2025: Bus Service Changes on Sunday 9 November

There will be temporary route changes for some bus services on Remembrance Sunday, 9th November 2025, across the county.

Bus Service Adjustments and Road Closures

Nottingham Road, Church Drive, and Sir John Robinson Way will be closed from 09:00 to 12:00 on Sunday 9th November. As a result, Lilac 25 and Lime 58 services will be diverted. The following stops will not be served during this time:

Buses will stop at all stops on their diversion routes.

Parade in Calverton Affecting Sky Blue 61

On Sunday 9th November, from 09:00 to 12:00, a parade in Calverton will affect the Sky Blue 61 service. The following stops will not be served:

East Leake Road Closure and South Notts 1 Diversion

Main Street in East Leake will be closed on Sunday 9th November from 10:30 to 11:45. The South Notts 1 service will be diverted via Main Street, Castle Hill, and Loughborough Road.

Remembrance Observance on Buses

At 11:00 on Sunday 9th and Tuesday 11th November, bus drivers will observe the two-minute silence. Where it is safe, drivers will park their buses and switch off their engines. The company invites passengers to join in this national moment of remembrance.

Free Travel for Serving Personnel

NCT offers free travel from 8th to 11th November 2025 for all serving personnel, cadets, and veterans. To qualify, passengers must show appropriate ID or wear their uniform when boarding.
