Lorraine Kelly has shared her views on Meghan Markle's reported comeback to acting, admitting she found the Duchess' most famous role somewhat irritating at the time.
While hosting her usual daytime show on Thursday, the 65-year-old presenter addressed news that Meghan Markle, 44, appears to be returning to her acting career.
Before marrying Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan was best known for playing Rachel Zane, a lawyer on the legal drama Suits. She portrayed this role for seven years, starting with the show's 2011 pilot.
Sources have indicated that Meghan is preparing to re-engage with acting, joining a cast that includes Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Brit Henry, and Jack Quaid in the production Close Personal Friends. She was reportedly spotted on set in Pasadena, Los Angeles, on Wednesday.
"Suits was really good, I thought she was a wee bit... her character was a bit annoying. That wasn't her fault, it was the character, but she can do whatever she wants."
Kelly also acknowledged Meghan's freedom to pursue her choices in her career.
Besides Suits, Meghan has appeared in shows like CSI: NY, 90210, and Without A Trace before gaining worldwide recognition through her royal marriage.
Summary: Lorraine Kelly expressed mixed feelings about Meghan Markle's iconic acting role but supports her decision to return to the screen after her royal hiatus.
