Comedian and Celebrity Traitors champion Alan Carr light-heartedly joked that he is the father of singer Paloma Faith’s unborn baby, following his on-screen “murder” of her in the popular series. The singer had announced last month she was expecting her third child.
During the first episode of the show, Carr “murdered” his friend Faith in the game’s opening round. On the official podcast Uncloaked, he shared how difficult it was to turn against someone close to him.
“It was so awful, it really hurt,”
he admitted, adding directly to Paloma:
“I am so sorry, you know I am.”
Carr then turned to humor, saying:
“I want to tell everyone that I am the father of her unborn child. We had a make-up hug and one thing led to another.”
Paloma Faith, sitting in the audience during the recording, responded playfully and confirmed there were no hard feelings between them.
“I have been known to turn people and it was an enjoyable experience for both of us,”
she quipped before expressing her affection for Carr and his victory:
“Observing tonight and going through my whole plethora of hormonal emotions, I feel like the reason Alan won and I was so sad was we all love him so much.”
She ended on a supportive note:
“I’m so happy that you won because it was bloody worth it.”
Alan Carr’s humorous take on his on-screen betrayal of Paloma Faith reveals their genuine friendship and mutual admiration beyond the game’s drama.
