Lindy Waters Hosts Event to Inspire Native Students Towards Higher Education
Oklahoma native Lindy Waters, an NBA player with the San Antonio Spurs, is leveraging his platform to motivate Native students to pursue college education through a dedicated event.
Preparing for the Season
Waters is gearing up for the upcoming NBA season and shared updates on his health and training:
"I've been busy. Getting ready for the season with the San Antonio Spurs. I had a great camp, had an eye appointment and unfortunately they found a couple of small tears but we got that repaired. Hopefully, can make my return in the next week."
Supporting Native Students
Waters and his foundation are hosting an event to introduce Native students to the college environment, encouraging them to aim for higher education.
"We're trying to be able to use my platform to expose them to higher education... I would want someone with the same stature, or platform to provide that for me if I was younger."
