The 1962 Jean Louis gown, last auctioned for $5 million, reportedly suffered a tear on the right strap, missing crystals, and visible stretching along the back seam after Kim Kardashian wore it to the 2022 Met Gala.
During a Vanity Fair video segment, Kim Kardashian was strapped to a lie detector while her All's Fair co-star Teyana Taylor questioned her about the alleged damage to Marilyn Monroe’s iconic dress.
"Did you whoop Marilyn Monroe's dress?"
Teyana asked the question twice, to which Kardashian replied calmly both times:
"No."
Pressing further, Taylor challenged her with another question:
"So you're saying that it got to you already whooped?"
Kardashian responded:
"I don't know how it got to me, but it's perfect now."
Despite maintaining her composure, she eventually broke into laughter when the topic of insurance came up.
"You're gonna cost me like $10M in insurance. Let's move on!"
Kim later turned to polygraph examiner Stephanie Jackson, who confirmed Kardashian’s statements:
"All of it is true."
Under lighthearted interrogation, Kim Kardashian denied damaging Marilyn Monroe’s dress from the 2022 Met Gala, insisting authenticity as a lie detector confirmed her honesty.
